Seattle Seahawks extend Charles Cross's contract for over $100 million
6. 1. 2026
Following their recent victory over the 49ers to secure the NFC's top seed, the Seattle Seahawks officially announced a massive four-year, $104.4 million contract with their starting left tackle, Charles Cross. The new contract will take effect starting in the 2027 season.
At $26.1 million per year, this is the highest-paid non-quarterback contract in Seahawks history. Furthermore, Cross, wearing the number 67 NFL jerseys, will surpass Vikings left tackle Christian D'Alissao's $26 million per year to become the fifth-highest-paid offensive tackle in the league.
The 25-year-old Cross, selected 9th overall in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft, has been a key player since wearing the Seattle Seahawks football jersey. In 68 regular-season games over four seasons, Cross has started 62, making him a crucial part of the team's offensive line.

Today, the Pittsburgh Steelers weared their NFL jerseys and hosted the Houston Texans. This game was the final matchup of Wild Card week, with the winner set to face the New England Patriots in the divisional playoffs.
Early on, both teams had good passing and ball movement, ultimately, kicker Boswell, wearing the number 9 Pittsburgh Steelers football jersey, scored a 32-yard field goal to give the Pittsburgh Steelers a 3-0 lead. Until the final possession of the first half, the Texans made several short passes to steadily advance to midfield, but Stroud missed a wide-open connection with Collins. After a failed third-down, they punted, giving possession back. The first half ended 7-6.
In the second half, the two teams were locked in a stalemate, and ultimately, the Texans cruised to a 30-6 victory over the Steelers to advance to the next round. With this win, the divisional playoff matchups are set.
Seattle Seahawks running back out for season
20. 1. 2026
Super Bowl favorites Seattle Seahawks have suffered a blow from injury as running back Zach Shabone, wearing number 26 NFL jerseys, tore his ACL in a blowout win over the 49ers in the divisional playoffs. He will miss the remainder of the season and could even affect his 2026 season.
The running duo of Shabone and Kenneth Walker has been a key piece of the Seahawks' success this season. With Shabone gone, Walker will wear the Seattle Seahawks football jersey and have to shoulder the offensive burden in the backcourt alone. Walker had an outstanding game against the 49ers, rushing for 116 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Walker will be the primary backup for Verus Jones. The Seahawks' practice roster also includes running back Cam Ex, who won a Super Bowl with the Rams.
The Pro Bowl candidate to fill in for Super Bowl quarterback is him!
27. 1. 2026
With the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots meeting in the Super Bowl, several Pro Bowl caliber players will miss the Pro Bowl flag game. Every year, many players are promoted to the Pro Bowl for this reason, but this year's promotion has surprised fans.
According to reports, rookie quarterback Sheldon Sanders, wearing the Cleveland Browns football jersey, will be promoted to the Pro Bowl in his rookie year. From a conventional perspective, Sanders' stats don't seem particularly strong for a Pro Bowl, but injuries and other factors have given him an unexpected opportunity.
This season, the NFL Pro Bowl has undergone reforms, moving its timeline from the week before the Super Bowl to the same week. The game will continue to use the 7v7 format, but centers can now participate in catching the ball, instead of remaining stationary in their NFL jerseys after the kickoff as in the past.
Joe Brady Makes His First Head Coaching Debut
3. 2. 2026
After another Super Bowl miss, the Buffalo Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott. After interviewing numerous candidates, they ultimately promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the new head coach position.
The 36-year-old Brady received a five-year contract, and he will continue to call plays for the Bills in the 2026 season. This will allow quarterback Josh Allen to wear the NFL jerseys and continue the chemistry he has developed over the past two years, helping the Bills smoothly transition and make another run for the Super Bowl.
In 2023, Brady became offensive coordinator, and under his guidance, Josh Allen, wearing number 17 Buffalo Bills football jersey, showed significant improvement in consistency, winning the 2024 regular season MVP award. The Baltimore Ravens also hoped to bring Brady on, but he ultimately stayed with the Bills, making his head coaching debut.
