Eagles main center gets the second highest salary in the league
Super Bowl defending champion Eagles and main center Cam Jurgens reached a 4-year contract extension worth $68 million, including $39.4 million in guaranteed parts. In the new season, he will continue to wear the Philadelphia Eagles football jersey and help the Eagles defend the Super Bowl title.
Jurgens, 25 years old, has become the second highest paid center in the league with an average annual salary of $17 million in the new contract. After the contract extension, he will play for the Eagles until at least the 2029 season.
In the playoffs, in the NFC final against the Commander, Jurgens, wearing the No. 51 NFL jerseys, was unable to start due to back pain, but when his teammates were injured, he came on as a substitute and eventually helped the team win a big victory over the opponent. During the offseason this year, Jurgens underwent back surgery to relieve pain problems, and he is expected to fully recover and catch up with the team's training camp in July.
