Lions prevail in offensive battle
Yesterday, the Baltimore Ravens hosted the Detroit Lions. Both teams suffered losses to start the season, but rebounded with blowout victories in Week 2.
Both teams quickly got into the swing of things. Wide receiver Williams, wearing a Detroit Lions football jersey, caught two long passes for 24 and 19 yards, putting his team in the red zone. Running back Gibbs ultimately ran for a touchdown to give his team the lead. On the Ravens side, Lamar Jackson connected with tight end Andrews repeatedly, and Derrick Henry ran for a 28-yard touchdown on third down and 1, bringing the score level. After a fierce battle, the Lions ultimately won the offensive battle.
Notably, before the game, star quarterback Lamar Jackson arrived on the field wearing a Kobe Bryant T-shirt instead of a Baltimore Ravens football jersey. The shirt featured a news release about Kobe's 81-point performance, considered a tribute to Bryant.
