Cowboys Renew Cornerback Brand's Contract
The Dallas Cowboys and starting cornerback De'Aaron Brand recently reached an agreement on a four-year, $92 million contract extension, including $50 million guaranteed. The new contract's average annual salary will instantly make him the sixth-highest-paid cornerback in the league.
Brand's career started modestly, being drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 draft and wearing the Dallas Cowboys football jersey, but he quickly established himself in the NFL. More impressively, he returned five interceptions for touchdowns this season, setting an NFL single-season record. His outstanding performance earned him a Pro Bowl nod and a First-Team All-Pro nod.
Last season, Brand was plagued by injuries and missed 10 games. However, his performances when weared the NFL jerseys on the field had already proven he deserved a substantial contract, and the Cowboys extended his contract before the opening night.
