Ravens Face Quarterback Crisis
The Baltimore Ravens have been dealt another major blow due to injuries. Lamar Jackson, who wears the number 8 NFL jerseys, sustained a right thumb injury during the team’s 36–10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Following the game, the head coach confirmed that Jackson will require surgery and will be sidelined for at least the next four games.
The situation at the quarterback position worsened further. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley left the game early in the second quarter due to a toe injury, forcing undrafted quarterback Joe Fagnano to make his career debut in a Baltimore Ravens football jersey; he completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and threw one interception.
The Ravens’ record has now fallen to 4–4, and they are set to face a surging Jacksonville Jaguars side next week. With the current injury situation, the most pressing issue for the Ravens is determining who will take over as the starting quarterback.
