"Well-Traveled No. 1 Pick" Returns to the Texans!
Over the past several years, Jadeveon Clowney has grown accustomed to changing teams annually. However, reports indicate that he has reached an agreement with the Houston Texans for the upcoming season, marking a return to the team where he spent the longest tenure of his career.
The Texans selected Clowney with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. During his subsequent five seasons with the team, he weared the NFL jerseys and earned three Pro Bowl selections and helped the squad reach the playoffs twice. Between the 2019 and 2025 seasons, Clowney played for six different teams; while he consistently delivered strong performances with each new club, he was never able to secure a long-term contract.
Now back in a Houston Texans football jersey, Clowney will join forces with the team's two elite pass rushers to form a formidable pass-rushing trio, ensuring that any opposing quarterback faces immense pressure.
