The baby-faced legend is back!
1. 9. 2026
Recently, the Los Angeles Rams delivered a bombshell announcement: legendary defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who retired two seasons ago, has signed a one-year contract with the Rams. He will don the Los Angeles Rams football jersey again in the 2026 season to help the team contend for the Super Bowl.
The 35-year-old Donald announced his retirement in March 2024, by which time he was already widely considered one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. During his two years of retirement, Donald maintained close ties with the Rams and appeared at numerous team events. However, few truly believed that this future Hall of Famer would return to the NFL.
Now, the Rams, already considered a Super Bowl favorite, have raised their ceiling once more. For NFL fans, there's finally a chance to see the legend who once dominated the game in his number 99 NFL jerseys return to the field.
The New York Giants have signed veteran quarterback Winston
8. 9. 2026
The New York Giants have reportedly reached a two-year, $13 million contract extension with veteran quarterback Jamis Winston. Including his original one-year contract, he will play in the New York Giants football jersey until the end of the 2028 season.
For the Giants, the most significant aspect of this contract is its stability. Jaxson Dart has an aggressive playing style and missed games early in his career due to a concussion. Having the experienced Winston undoubtedly provides the team with greater security at the quarterback position.
Beyond his on-field value as the wearer of the number 19 NFL jerseys, Winston's influence in the locker room is also recognized by the team. He has long been instrumental in the development of young players. Although he is no longer a regular starter, the Giants clearly want to retain this experienced veteran with this contract.
Garrett to Undergo Surgery, Miss Stretch of Tough Games
15. 9. 2026
Following their loss in the Australia game, the Los Angeles Rams have suffered another major blow. Reports indicate that star pass rusher Myles Garrett will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and be placed on the injured reserve list, sidelining him for at least the next four games.
Garrett officially donned the Los Angeles Rams football jersey following a blockbuster trade during the offseason and is viewed as a key piece in the team's push for the Super Bowl. However, he was plagued by knee soreness throughout training camp, and it now appears the injury is significantly more serious than initially anticipated.
As the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Garrett’s impact extends beyond his individual statistics; he draws significant attention from opposing offensive lines, thereby creating opportunities for his teammates. With Garrett unable to play in the NFL jerseys, the Rams risk a losing streak right out of the gate if they stumble even slightly.
Williams Exits Game with Injury
22. 9. 2026
After exploding for 59 points in Week 1, the Chicago Bears suffered a rude awakening in Week 2; amidst heavy rain at Soldier Field and a relentless barrage of pressure schemes from the Vikings, the team completely lost its way, managing only three points and committing two turnovers. Even more concerning, their star quarterback, Caleb Williams, went down without contact during a run and had to be helped off the field.
The incident occurred while the Bears were in the red zone; Williams, wearing NFL jerseys No. 18, suddenly collapsed during an outside run and immediately clutched his right leg, clearly in pain. He was subsequently assisted off the field by staff and taken back to the locker room on a medical cart.
According to reporters on the scene, Williams was still wearing his Chicago Bears football jersey and walking on his own—without the aid of crutches—after the game. Prior to the injury, he had completed 15 of 26 passes for 138 yards and thrown one interception.
Giants Trade for First-Round Quarterback
29. 9. 2026
A week after parting ways with Jaxson Dart, the New York Giants have completed a trade to bolster their roster. According to official league and team announcements, the Minnesota Vikings have traded J.J. McCarthy—the quarterback selected 10th overall in the first round of the 2024 draft—to the Giants in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick.
The trade is currently pending a successful physical examination by the player. For the Vikings, this move marks the end of their developmental plan for McCarthy (who wore No. 9 NFL jerseys) and further solidifies Kyler Murray as the team's core quarterback for the season.
For McCarthy, donning the New York Giants football jersey and arriving in the "Big Apple" represents a fresh start. He shares deep ties with the Harbaugh family; during his college years, he played under Jim Harbaugh—brother of John Harbaugh—and won a national championship with the University of Michigan.
