Joe Brady Makes His First Head Coaching Debut
After another Super Bowl miss, the Buffalo Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott. After interviewing numerous candidates, they ultimately promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the new head coach position.
The 36-year-old Brady received a five-year contract, and he will continue to call plays for the Bills in the 2026 season. This will allow quarterback Josh Allen to wear the NFL jerseys and continue the chemistry he has developed over the past two years, helping the Bills smoothly transition and make another run for the Super Bowl.
In 2023, Brady became offensive coordinator, and under his guidance, Josh Allen, wearing number 17 Buffalo Bills football jersey, showed significant improvement in consistency, winning the 2024 regular season MVP award. The Baltimore Ravens also hoped to bring Brady on, but he ultimately stayed with the Bills, making his head coaching debut.
