Travon Walker Secures $110 Million Extension
7. 4. 2026
The Jacksonville Jaguars recently signed their 2022 number one draft pick, Travon Walker, to a four-year extension worth $110 million, including $77 million in guaranteed portions, ranking 12th in the league.
In his four seasons in the Jacksonville Jaguars football jersey, Walker has accumulated 27.5 regular-season sacks and 200 tackles, including two seasons with 10 or more sacks. His sack numbers are expected to decline in the 2025 season, with 3.5 sacks per game, the same as his rookie season.
This offseason, the Jaguars suffered significant roster losses, and the team needs to prevent further departures and maintain the core of last season's AFC Southern Championship roster. This early extension with Walker, who wears NFL jerseys number 44, may have been a smart move, preventing him from recording more than 10 sacks in 2026 and thus increasing his market value.
Philadelphia Eagles acquire $10 million in trade
14. 4. 2026
The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers recently completed a trade, with the Eagles sending a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Hawks. Wide receiver Dontevia Weeks will wear the Philadelphia Eagles football jersey. The Hawks subsequently signed Weeks to a one-year, $12.5 million extension.
Weeks, a fifth-round pick by the Packers in 2023, has never been a full-time starter in the Packers' crowded wide receiver roster. However, he has weared the NFL jerseys and accumulated 1,328 regular-season receiving yards and 11 touchdowns over three seasons.
The Eagles' current wide receiver roster includes AJ Brown, Defontaine Smith, and "Hollywood" Brown; Weeks' addition provides them with another layer of insurance. For the Packers, the departures of Dobbs and Weeks have essentially finalized their receiving lineup for the new season.
The Bengals' Six Players to Take Up Over 50% of Salaries Next Season
21. 4. 2026
Recently, the Bengals offered Dexter Lawrence a one-year, $28 million contract extension. Combined with the remaining two years of his previous four-year contract, Lawrence's average salary over the next three years will reach $23.3 million, placing him among the top three defensive tackles in the league.
Last season, the Bengals ranked second-to-last in the league defensively. They allowed an average of 28.9 points per game, also ranking third-to-last in the league. It is believed that Lawrence wearing the Cincinnati Bengals football jersey will significantly improve their defensive performance. The team clearly wants to win now; in the 2026 season, the salaries of their six key players will account for approximately 52% of the team's salary cap.
Since 2021, Lawrence, wearing the NFL jerseys, has been the defensive tackle with the highest double-team rate in the league. Despite this, he still manages to achieve the second-highest number of defensive tackles applied per game, demonstrating his immense impact on the court.
The Raiders traded away their former 7th overall pick!
28. 4. 2026
Recently, the Las Vegas Raiders and the New Orleans Saints completed a trade. The Saints sent their 150th pick from this year's draft to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for pass rusher Tyree Wilson and this year's 219th pick.
As the 7th overall pick in the 2023 draft, Wilson possesses outstanding physical attributes and is considered to have unlimited potential. However, during his time in the Las Vegas Raiders football jersey, he failed to translate his talent into performance. The team's frequent changes in head coaches also prevented him from developing steadily, requiring him to constantly adapt to new team leadership.
Former second overall pick Chase Young, who was disappointed with his draft, joined the Saints for the 2024 season and recorded a career-high 10 sacks last season. Wilson, who also possesses considerable talent, may have the opportunity to replicate a similar performance under the New Orleans Saints football jersey, ushering in a new era and striving for his next contract.
