Minnesota Vikings Plan to Cut Costs
3. 3. 2026
To bring their salary expenditure below the salary cap before the upcoming deadline, the Vikings are reportedly considering cutting some high-paid veterans. According to reports, the Vikings will attempt to trade starting defensive tackle Hargreave and starting running back Aaron Jones. If a trade fails, they will waive them.
The 33-year-old Hargreave signed with the Vikings last offseason, will continue wearing his NFL jerseys and playing for the team. However, his overall performance has declined, averaging 3.5 sacks and 52 tackles in 15 starts.
The 31-year-old Aaron Jones had a career-high 1,138 yards in Minnesota Vikings football jersey last season. However, due to injuries and the arrival of Jordan Mason, Jones's stats have dropped to 548 yards in the 2025 season. This output clearly doesn't justify his multi-million dollar salary.
The Rams Offer Trent McDuffie the Highest Salary in the League
10. 3. 2026
The Los Angeles Rams recently signed cornerback Trent McDuffie, who was acquired from the Chiefs, to a four-year, $124 million contract, including $100 million in guaranteed pay.
McDuffie, confirmed to be wearing a Los Angeles Rams football jersey soon, has secured a new contract with an average annual salary of $31 million, making him the highest-paid cornerback in the league. McDuffie's new contract will take effect at the start of the 2027 season, with a fifth-year option worth $13.63 million in the 2026 season.
The soon-to-be 26-year-old McDuffie suffered injuries last season in Kansas City Chiefs football jersey, appearing in only 13 games and recording 63 tackles, 7 pass breaks, and 1 interception. With his injury history resolved, McDuffie should be able to deliver a better performance this season.
Former Championship Hero Remains in Philadelphia
17. 3. 2026
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goldter's contract was originally set to expire on March 11th, but both sides postponed the expiration date twice to allow more time for negotiations. Just before the deadline, they finally reached an agreement, with Goldter signing a one-year extension to remain in Philadelphia.
This extension not only allows the veteran to continue wearing the Philadelphia Eagles football jersey but also prevents the team from incurring $20 million in dead money. The negotiations with Goldter were difficult, partly because they also had to deal with the future of wide receiver AJ Brown.
While Goldter's on-court performance in his NFL jerseys has declined somewhat with age, he remains an indispensable part of the Eagles' passing offense. Last season, his 60 regular-season receptions and 11 touchdown receptions also set career highs.
The Seattle Seahawks and JSN Sign Long-Term Contract Extension
24. 3. 2026
The Seattle Seahawks and Jaxson Smith Ngigba (JSN) recently reached an agreement for a blockbuster four-year, $168.6 million contract extension, including $120 million in guaranteed pay.
With two years remaining on his rookie contract, this four-year extension ensures JSN will wear the Seattle Seahawks football jersey for the next six seasons. The new contract's $42.15 million annual salary sets a new record, making JSN the highest-paid wide receiver.
In the 2025 season, JSN was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive year, made his first All-NBA First Team selection, and won the Offensive Player of the Year award. On the field, JSN weared his NFL jerseys and helped the Seahawks dominate the regular season, reaching the top of the NFC. During the playoffs, the Seahawks won their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
Crosby's situation repeats itself!
31. 3. 2026
This offseason, the Ravens' blockbuster trade for Crosby fell through due to health concerns revealed during a physical examination. Recently, a similar situation has occurred again, with the Cleveland Browns also choosing not to sign AJ Epenaisa due to doubts about the results of his physical.
The 27-year-old Epenaisa, who has worn the Buffalo Bills football jersey for six seasons, has consistently been a reliable pass rusher and recorded six or more sacks in three seasons. Furthermore, Epenaisa has maintained relatively good health throughout his career, never missing more than three games in a single season.
At the end of last season, Epenaisa suffered foot and neck injuries but still played 16 regular season games and 2 playoff games. It is currently unclear what injury issues the Browns discovered during their examination. Epenaisa will miss the opportunity to wear the Cleveland Browns football jersey and will return to the free agent market.
