Travon Walker Secures $110 Million Extension

The Jacksonville Jaguars recently signed their 2022 number one draft pick, Travon Walker, to a four-year extension worth $110 million, including $77 million in guaranteed portions, ranking 12th in the league.
In his four seasons in the Jacksonville Jaguars football jersey, Walker has accumulated 27.5 regular-season sacks and 200 tackles, including two seasons with 10 or more sacks. His sack numbers are expected to decline in the 2025 season, with 3.5 sacks per game, the same as his rookie season.
This offseason, the Jaguars suffered significant roster losses, and the team needs to prevent further departures and maintain the core of last season's AFC Southern Championship roster. This early extension with Walker, who wears NFL jerseys number 44, may have been a smart move, preventing him from recording more than 10 sacks in 2026 and thus increasing his market value.
